I first fell in love with South Siskiyou County when I was riding a bike. It was 1972, and my goal was to ride my bicycle from my home in Southern California to the Grand Tetons. Recently finished from college and having no strong ties to anyone or any place, I figured it was a good time to do some exploring. As I rode up the hill from Redding and caught my first glimpse of Castle Crags and Mt. Shasta, I lost my breath. And, no, it wasn’t the steep climb that caused that lack of oxygen. It was the natural beauty of the area.

After spending a week in Mt. Shasta, I continued my ride on to Bend, OR, but then abandoned the remainder of my trip to return to this amazing city for about nine months. It took me another five years, but eventually I moved to Mt. Shasta for good and have called it home ever since.

I’ve worked in real estate here for 30 years and have been a co-owner of Shasta Real Estate Group (formerly Doris Moss Realty) for more than 20 years. Because the people of this area have been so good to me, I have chosen to “give back” in various community service activities, including acting as president of the local swim club, president of the Mt. Shasta Education Foundation, president of the Siskiyou Association of Realtors and (currently) assistant varsity coach for the Mt. Shasta High School girls’ varsity basketball team. I was also recently elected to the Mt. Shasta City Council.

Both of my sons went through the Mt. Shasta public schools and have gone on to have successful careers and loving families of their own. It gives me great pleasure to help folks find the perfect home, which is why I specialize in South Siskiyou County real estate. I know this area and its citizens well, and I can use that knowledge to facilitate finding the right home for anyone looking to live here.
